DISTANCE FROM CAIRNS (Region Capital): 75kms
The White Cockatoo is a totally private secluded resort
located in Mossman, Tropical North Queensland, Australia,
just 70km north of Cairns and only 15km from Port Douglas
and is nestled between the Daintree Rainforest and the Coral Sea
at roughly the same tropical latitude as Tahiti.
The White Cockatoo itself is very easy to find
being almost in the middle of town on the Main Street of Mossman.
The main street of Mossman is is part of the Capt. Cook Highway,
the main highway north from Cairns,
and known as Alchera Drive where it passes The White Cockatoo.
Look out for the BIG White Cockatoo on the left when entering Mossman.
While being situated in town The White Cockatoo offers total privacy
being surrounded with fencing, trees, a creek, and screening
plus having 24/7 CCTV Camera surveillance.
If flying into the area the best option for getting here from Cairns airport
is a hire car with all major companies having outlets at Cairns airport

operate bus services from Cairns airport to The White Cockatoo and return.
You can expect to pay up to $45 per person each way with them,
hence the suggestion that a hire car is the best option.
Mossman is close enough to many other tourist destinations and attractions,
and Cairns International airport, to be convenient,
but secluded enough for a quiet escape.
With building development restricted to the height of a palm tree,
Mossman is a low-rise jewel in the Australian coastline.
