All resort facilities shown throughout this website are available for use.
Applicants must have good command of the English language, and be reasonably well presented with a practical and positive outlook.
Those that understand the concept of "looking after us with efforts" will be well rewarded with extra's
including free trips to the Daintree, The Great Barrier Reef, and other wonderful places in the area.
These trips are never guaranteed, and naturally subject to weather conditions and other possible variables
and only available for those staying longer than 1 week.
Due to the huge amount of interest from travelers interested in working for us, and having been let down in the past,
we will not hold positions until we are entirely comfortable with communications.
We hold passports during stays and ask for a credit card imprint upon arrival.
Intelligent persons will understand all above and it is those persons we would like to help us, albeit in laborers roles while helping here.
We are sometimes able to provide free transfers from Cairns once all is understood and agreed.
As mentioned above we appreciate that being nude is not for everybody,
but pics at bottom of this page give some indication of some who have helped here and been very happy to be nude
and the reviews immediately following give further indication of Happy Helpers.

I happened to randomly stumble across all this, during my pleasent night of sleeplessness due to jetlag. And realised my previous review actually could be read as quite negative, and this distressed me. I HAD AN ABSOLUTELY AWESOME TIME HERE. i stayed for three weeks, we had awesome natters, went out on awesome adventures, and had a truly great stay. i really did. the chauvinism thing is kind of a privet joke. tony is not chauvanistic he is quite loveely, as is lenore one of the nicest ladies i have met, it is easy to pre judge and make assumptions, but read all the other reviews first. once again A TRULY AWESOME LUSHHHH STAY :)

Is chauvinism a bad thing?
So after 5 mins of being picked up by Tony and then being congratulated on being able to put my own rucksack in the boot of his car, I called Tony chauvinistic, and since then we got on like a house on fire, as one might say :P It’s your holiday, well it is their business. To sum it up in a sentence it was an awesome stay, prove to them how hardworking you are and they’ll prove to you what an awesome location they are based at. I stayed for… three weeks, jeese it flew. Lenore was great to work for with a lead by example attitude, and I spent the days cleaning chalets with her and gardening on my own, I was there during the quiet season, but my first day was a real example of how tough the work could be during the busy season, so if you’re lazy don’t bother coming! The work was physically tough, and could get monotonous, get over it. During my stay I was taken out to all the surrounding areas, as promised, out to the reef, through the jungle, to a carnival, cape trib, and a rally race day, the result of hardwork! Pretty awesome really. You’re pretty independent, with your own chalet and after 1pm you’re free to explore. If you get lonely or are missing the backpacker scene, take a 25 min cycle up to Mossman gorge which is gorgeous and teaming with backpackers in the afternoon on trips back from cape tribulation. Oh and the meals were quite simply delicious.
So yeh, lush place, lush people, lush stay : )

so we have been here about 6-7 weeks now! Like the other reviews here the work is tough, but you knock off at 1pm or before and that's the end of that! They appreciate your hard work and if you don't know what that is don't bother coming! Tony and Lenore are great people to work with. Lenore is bubbly and friendly and makes a monotonous job much easier!
With a self contained chalet its perfect for us- being a couple! And there is a lovely pool to relax by! Mossman or mossvegas as it is known Is lovely quaint little town!
We would have no trouble recommending hard working people come here for a great helpx experience:)

I have reviewed every host I have stayed with and I can say that The White Cockatoo is also worthy of helping out at.
Tony and Lenore are great people.
They run a business and treat you as an employee - at least for the first week.
Once you have proven yourself, as I did, they will take care of you.
I had chosen to stay there with the hopes of getting out on the reef. The weather wasn't ideal for boating but Tony and Lenore managed to get me out there anyway.
The work isn't easy. I won't lie. Be prepared to pull your weight. The rewards for doing so will blow your mind.
I will never forget the time spent at the White Cockatoo. Its a "Must Do" if you find yourself in Northern Queensland.

We intended only to stay here for one week.
It wasn't until 5 weeks later (due to being made an offer we couldn't refuse by Tony & Lenore) that we eventually decided to continue with our travels!!!
This place is set in the Tropics of Far North Queensland, and in an idyllic spot for all must see trips.
The work here, while easy to pick up, can be really tiring and repetitive, so absolutely no point even thinking about this job if you are looking for an easy ride!
But the main thing to remember here - your work hours are only 8am-1pm, so thats only 5 hours, and then you have the rest of the day to do with whatever you want :-) Plus of course a full day off every week.
Believe us when we say, if you are active and outgoing you will find plenty of fantastic sights and places to visit.
The motto that Nathan and I lived by was really simple : "If you do the right thing by them they will certainly do the right thing by you".
In between all the hard work we have had lots of laughs and are taking away with us some fantastic memories that we will treasure forever....and all for only 5 hours of work a day!
Thanks again Tony and Lenore for being such great hosts.

Like others have said, the work is hard so don't expect an easy ride.
Remember that this is Tony & Lenores business and livelihood, so don't waste their time if you are not prepared to put an effort in.
But if you work hard, apply yourself, and get on with it the rewards are there.
In our second week we went out on several great trips and had a fab time.
Tony & Lenore are great hosts and you can expect some lively conversation.
The accomodation you are provided with is great, your own cabin with all mods cons so makes a nice change from hostels.
We have lots of great memories and would definately recommend this place and Tony & Lenore to anyone.
Thanks guys for a great time and for being such great hosts.

We would definitely recommend a stay with Tony and Lenore at their wonderful resort, on two conditions - if you're prepared to work hard, and give as good as you've got! If so, you'll reap the rewards; the location is stunning (great for walking and biking), the accomodation is wonderful and the hosts are a pleasure to be with. They expect good, honest and hard work, but with free time and the chance of brilliant day trips as 'payment', both employer and employee (for that is the relationship set) are happy - the harder you work, the better the rewards. After trips to the reef and river, use of bikes, walks into Mossman and the chance to meet some real characters, we left happy and with wonderful memories. We would have no doubts in recommending Tony and Lenore to those who are willing get stuck in. Thank you to you both - lets hope the pictures are as good as the memories!
